Story Plot

The tribute to the original heartbreaking tell of unrequited love and sacrifice from a perspective of the naive little mermaid. She dies in the end by turning into seafoam. The story remains to be set in Denmark.

    Coppola wanted Maya Hawke and Nicole Kidman in her version a few years back, IIRC.

    @nathanbates I only knew about Sofia joining and then dropping out of the project. I haven't heard about her potential casting choices at all tbh. Thank you! And actually i was thinking of Maya as The Mermaid for a while 😅
