Story Plot

In 1690, a young man named Gwynplaine, disfigured as a child (on the orders of the king), has traveled and performed for years with his protector and companion, the vagabond philosopher Ursus, and his childhood friend Dea. But during a routine show, he's wrapped up into a conspiracy that will challenge his very existence forever.
