One of the twins of Wally West and Linda Park-West, Jai and his sister Iris had been miscarried due to an attack by Zoom, but due to their father's actions, they were safe and delivered. After a trip across reality with their parents after the second Crisis, the twins had grown to be youngsters, and exhibited unique powers due to their connection to the Speed Force. When the Reverse-Flash attacked the Flash family, Iris and Jai's connection was strained, leading Iris to take it all to save Jai. With her super-speed, Iris calls herself Impulse to honor Bart Allen, who she idolizes.
