Once the mentor to Jor-El on Krypton, Non believed his pupil's warnings Krypton's core was becoming unstable due to their race's nature with the planet, but he was made an "example" by the Kryptonian Council when he was lobotomized, which was easy for General Zod to manipulate him to aid him and Ursa. Escaping the Phantom Zone, Non has acted as Zod's muscle, but in recent times, thanks to Lex Luthor's brief alliance with the General, Non has slowly begun to regain some of his intelligence, and while he has come to enjoy what he does... now what he wishes is to overthrow Zod, and look for a new way to aid the Phantom Zone prisoners.
