Character Description
Dishonorably discharged from the Army, ex-Sergeant John Corben took to crime to survive. He would find his way from his native Gotham City near Smallville, where he would almost die in a car crash, if not for Dr. Emmet Vale. Discovering the mineral Kryptonite, Vale placed it into a body made from Metallo, a unique metallic substance, and learning it could kill Superman, Vale wanted Corben to be the man to kill Superman. Killing Vale, Corben would continue his streak of crime as the deadly Metallo, using his Kryptonite heart to fight Superman as he would evolve more and more.
