A classmate of Billy and Mary Batson's at their high school, Pedro was known for his size, but also being quiet, only speaking when need be. After Shazam was fatally wounded by his brother Mazahs and his new "champion" Black Adam, he passed his power onto Billy, who sought to find others besides himself, Mary, and Freddy to fight the new threat. With this, he found worthy candidates with Pedro, Eugene Choi, and his cousin Darla Dudley. Granting them the power of Shazam, Pedro has dubbed himself Lieutenant Marvel, where he makes great use of the Strength of Hercules most of all.
