Character Description
After witnessing his father die in a plane crash, Hal Jordan wanted to prove to the world he was fearless, so he ran away from home when he was 18 to join the Air Force against his mother's wishes. He would eventually go from a Captain to working for Ferris Aircraft as a test pilot, until the day he was brought to Abin Sur, a dying member of the Green Lantern Corps, who passed his ring to Hal, making him the first human to join the Green Lantern Corps. With his power ring, Hal can fly under his own power as well as creating constructs with his will.
