Character Description
Rita Farr was a brilliant actress and Olympic swimmer, but one day while filming a film, she was exposed to unique volcanic gases while filming in Africa. The gases caused Rita to become extremely malleable, able to grow or shrink at will as well as incredible elasticity. However, she was branded an outsider because of it, until Niles Caulder offered her a place in the Doom Patrol as Elasti-Girl, later Elast-Woman. Though she died stopping General Zahl from destroying Four Heroes, Maine, Rita was revived by Miles Caulder (disguised as his twin brother) for his own goals of using the Doom Patrol.
