Plants vs Zombies is an American comedy film based on Pop Cap's game franchise of the same name and the plot is mainly based on the comic book series, Plants vs. Zombies: Lawnmageddon. The film follows David Blazing, well known by his nickname "Crazy Dave," his niece Patrice Blazing, their van Penny, and a young kid named Nate Timely. However, their lives are soon in danger as a vast army of zombies under the command of their intelligent undead mad scientist leader Dr. Zomboss invades the town of Neighborville in an attempt to break into residents' homes in order to devour their brains. The group discovered hundreds of seed packets in Crazy Dave's old shed and planted an army of sentient, weaponized plants to defend Neighborville from Lawnmageddon
