    bcuz these characters don't SEEM asian. The creators and producers could have done characters seemingly asian but didn't, so blame them for that

    @mikeypascual Death Note too and several others; still that didn't prevent producers of casting non-asians. Personally, I think if it isn't quintessencial to the plot that the chars MUST be asians, the similar the actor is to the looks of the character, the better; plus most asians are not that good at acting. But the later is only my opinion; producers not casting asians despite of the shows' origins is fact.

    @arcand_freud Okay, but that's basically just a rebrand then. Example: Sword Art Online -> Ready Player One. Which I don't really think is a problem if you rebrand something like that.
