Fan Casting My Enemy, My Friend

Liu Bangzhou, a former Qing soldier who saw action during the Sino-Japanese War, immigrated to Canada in 1899. While there he encounters a Japanese fisherman named Asahi Takahashi, another former soldier who also saw action during the Sino-Japanese War. Their mutually good relationship eventually takes a turn for the worst when he finds out Asahi was the man who killed his brother, who was also his commanding officer. Over the years, the relationship between the 2 men becomes incredibly inconsistent
