Raised by her abusive aunt and uncle in middle-class District 4, Briseis, like Antigone, was inspired by her District's past victors; she joined the training programme run by Mags and Mannanan at a young age. Briseis was considered an all-rounder in weaponry but specialised with the sword and trident. Her arena was an island archipelago where Briseis and her allies repeatedly fought off vicious mutts ; her final duel was against the District 2 male tribute which she won through a mix of cunning, skill and strength. She mentored future victor Cerulea Larson shortly after and as of the 3rd Quarter Quell is still alive age 60, and a major figure in the underground rebellion.
