    Tom Hardy is too alpha to play him.the thing with John McClane is that he isn't a superman so you feel his vulnerability. Plus h wisecracks alot and Tom Hardy can only pull off that style in an English accent (Tom Hardy is one of my favourite actors but he can't do an American accent well)

    I don't know where Jon Hamm's career was at in 2009 (He'd be too old to play the part now though,but in 2009 maybe)
