Fan Casting Captain Marvel: Act of War

Carol Danvers, a pilot in the US Air Force, gets caught in an explosion after a mysterious object lands on earth. When she wakes up, all she remembers is a few vague details of her earlier life. The accident gave her great powers, for which she's being trained by the Kree empire, who have taken care of her. Meanwhile her mentor, Mar-Vell, seems to grow more distant. Mar-Vell has secretly been in contact with the Nova Corps, trying to stop his own people from engaging in war with the Shi'ar empire, using a weaponized parasitic alien species, known as the Brood.
