Set in a series of volcanoes, the 31st Hunger Games saw Grail Carpier used outdoorsy boy charm on the Capitol to achieve sponsor support that allowed him to persevere, using a scythe to overpower 5 fellow tributes. This was repaid by being drawn into a long pattern of prostitution in the Capitol that slowly drove Grail's mental health to deteriorate; at the year of the 47th Hunger Games he commited suicide aged 34, becoming the second victor to do so.
