When Superman discovers that his cousin Kara is alive and rescues her upon crashing on Earth, he's delighted to be able to finally contact with an ally of Krypton and one of his own family. He learns of the Krypton and it's last moments. Kara was sent to protect him and is happy about his current life. But the happy reunion is short lived when a scout ship comes to Earth to capture Kara and Kal. The ship is commanded by Brainiac , the sentient AI security system of Krypton who left Krypton to fate by digitizing the city of Kandor and has been collecting and destroying world's in a thirst for complete knowledge of the universe. Kal and Kara must defeat Brainiac before he does the same to Earth as well as try to salvage a piece of his family and home world from Brainiac.
