Years after Jason Voorhees was chained under water for 10 years in Crystal Lake, a troubled teenage girl, Julie Shepherd suffers nightmares of Freddy Krueger who killed her father when she was a little girl. Julie and Her Mother return to Camp Crystal Lake, Where Julie's Doctor merely wants to exploit her from dreaming with dream drugs so she can look insane and forever be locked up for his own evil plans. Julie finds Freddy no longer haunting her dreams because he goes into the dreams of the sleeping Jason Instead. Freddy frees Jason to kill for him and gain enough power to break into reality with his powers. Freddy frees Jason Voorhees from the bottom of the lake and he begins to slaughter the teens next door while Freddy kills behind Jason's back, breaking their deal to gain larger powers and takes Jason's victim's souls. It's now up to Julie to get everyone out in time and escape out of Crystal Lake before Freddy is free from reality to face with Jason in a epic showdown.
