Synopsis

On June 10, 1977, James Earl Ray, the assassin of Martin Luther King Jr, and six other convicts escaped from Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary in Petros, Tennessee. They were recaptured on June 13. The film tells the story of Ray's escape and his recapturing by the officers and guards of the Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary and Tennessee State Patrol.

Description of Donald Ray Caylor (Escapee):

Don Caylor was 5'8" tall. He had light brown eyes and brown/blonde hair. Reputation wise, he wasn't really someone you antagonize. Like all "hard timers", he felt that he had nothing to lose by escaping.
