Carlos Ortiz is a bio specialist in Legion Varus, in the third unit in the third cohort. McGill met Ortiz at the Mustering Hall, and they've been friends ever since.

Personality
Carlos is clumsy, smug, and annoying. Carlos is often an idiot. Carlos doesn't get laid much, but he has gotten lucky with the notoriously promiscuous Kivi. He seems to be jealous of his friend James McGill, who rapidly rose in rank and performed several dangerous stunts (and because James gets more tail than he does!).
