Henry is a green 4-6-0 mixed-traffic tender engine who works on the Main Line. She was originally a failed prototype engine, and will eventually need special Welsh coal to operate properly. Following her eventual accident when pulling the Flying Kipper, Henry will undergo an extensive rebuild, giving her a new shape and a better performance. KEEP IN MIND: I prefer to write and hear Henry as Male-to-Female transgender with the transition to being female brought on due to her accident with the Flying Kipper that necessitates her rebuild. So, I will respect if you prefer to keep Henry as a male in your OWN fan castings. Only suggest FEMALE actors for the voice of Henry in MY projects.

    For those of you wondering why I write Henry as female, my headcanon is that she was MTF transgender and the accident with the Flying Kipper and subsequent rebuild as an LMS Black 5 also came with a free gender reassignment overhaul from male to fully female courtesy of Sir William Stanier. And even before that, (when male) Henry identified as female and both the Fat Controller and the other engines respected it by using the preferred female pronouns in talking with and about her.
