Nicholas Flamel was born in 1330 in Paris, France. His aura is green and smells of "sharp mint". Nicholas Flamel has owned and guarded The Codex of Abraham the Mage for centuries, using it to brew the Elixer of Life for himself and his wife. Due to a prophecy within the Codex they have sought out and Awakened multiple sets of twins with gold and silver auras, usually with disastrous results. The Flamels believe Sophie Newman is the older twin, thus the more powerful. They decide to focus on training Sophie, Awakening her and getting her powerful Magic teachers, while ignoring Josh because they decided that Sophie would be the "one to save the world" and Josh would be the "one to destroy it".
