So your probably wondering why I casted 19 year old redheads and black girls for the role of Ariel? Well it's because in 2020 which is the start of filming the actress will be 16 and Ariel is 16 in the original film. No I'm not hating on Halle Bailey on this I respect her, she was a great Ariel in the film and her singing is great.
