Knux couldn't help but feel ashamed for his actions.* Sonic: So . . . how ya feeling, big guy? Knuckles: I feel . . . like a failure. Sonic: How so? Knuckles: When I was only 6, my tribe were on the verge of becoming the most powerful beings in the universe. With that accursed gem. Sonic: The Master Emerald. Knuckles: (nods) But then, it was too powerful for them. Eventually, in their greed, my tribe perished in its devastation. Including my tribe leader. His daughter. And my father. Sonic: Hey. (sits down next to him) Believe it or not . . . I'm kinda an orphan, too. Knuckles: But . . . you have the owl. And the fox. Sonic: When I was born, my island was attacked by Robotnik. (Knuckles was shocked) Yeah. Same Robotnik. A few of the owls like Longclaw got most of the hedgehogs to safety in other places on Mobius. But my parents . . . her close friends . . . died, saving me.
