Eddie Brock is a strugggling young adult journalist who learned about journalism due to attending college at Empire State University after moving out from San Francisco to New York City in search of anyone who could hire him. He worked on cases that involved big conspiracies behind crime scenes and corrupt individuals with hidden agendas to make the city a so called better place while putting innocent people in prison for the crimes they did not commit which led him to become very desperate with nobody available to help him as well as being very concerned about losing his career based on the mistakes he had made. But everything had changed since the same Symbiote had to come all the way down after hearing him about asking for help and forgiveness while making him the perfect host to bond with and starts aggressively attaching to the outside of his body and through his chest inside. At first, Eddie was feeling shocked yet confused because he doesn't understand what is even happening and thought this was a curse he had received from God as his punishment. Eventually, the Symbiote inside of Eddie's chest would also begin to actually communicate with him and act as both his own conscience and his own friend as well as giving him a straight forward set of instructions of what to do by making him transform into a humanoid creature whose body is all covered by the Symbiote's black goo along with creating unusual features like his eyes, a wide mouth with a long tongue, and a large white spider symbol on both sides of his torso as well as gaining strange superpowers which some of them are very identical to the ones Spider-Man possesses and adapt the identity of Venom.
