Fan Casting Maximus in Temeraire (Series)

Largest of Lily’s formation, Maximus is a young dragon of the Regal Copper breed. He is slow to anger, but territorial. He forms the third part of a trio of young dragons with Lily and Temeraire. Maximus and Temeraire make up the rear guard of the heavy weights in Lily’s formation. Maximus’s Captain is Berkeley, a heavyset older man. They are close companions of Laurence and Temeraire and often exchange written letters.
