Fan Casting Iskierka in Temeraire (Series)

One of six eggs protected and nested by Temeraire, Iskierka is the British Navy’s long awaited Turkish Fire Breather. Hoping to teach her Dragon’s Rights and political science for dragons, Temeraire instead finds her to be selfish, irritating, and sanctimonious, but loves her in his own way nevertheless. She is Temeraire’s right hand. She makes a career capturing naval ships with threats of fire, forcing them to surrender or burn. She takes John Granby as her captain, much to his chagrin and lifetime regret. Temeraire and Iskierka often operate as independents in formations, due to their powers of sonic cannon and fire, respectively, which rival longwing’s acid spitting capabilities.
