Character Description
Roddenberry wanted Stephen Macht. Macht turned down the role, although he would be considered for other roles. They then considered Yaphet Kotto who also turned it down. Patrick Stewart had initially been considered for Data and Rodeneberry initially didn't want a bald lead but ended p liking him.
