The true leader of Hydra, an SS general who founded Hydra in World War II as a paramilitary scientific organization at the service of the Nazi party, being Captain America's main enemy, after the war, he would be cryogenized until his archenemy awakened. He would be a hidden villain for part of the series, running Hydra, now as a neo-Nazi terrorist organization, from the shadows under the false name of Gustav Fiers. He would play the final villain of the fourth season, leading Hydra's plan for world domination. It would be revealed that he was the one who murdered Peter's parents, making his confrontations with Spider-Man become personal.
