Character Description
A subtrope of Our Mermaids Are Different and Magical Species Transformation, a character finds themselves in a situation where, somehow, they discover they have aquatic traits and become an Apparently Human Merfolk of some sort. Usually, this gives them the ability to survive underwater, if the character isn't outright turned into a mermaid or some kind of fish.
