A person with a Guilt Complex is someone who routinely puts blame on their own shoulders despite not needing to take the blame. Unlike The Atoner, a person with a Guilt Complex is someone who not only isn't at fault for a misdeed, but even a cursory examination of the facts reveals that whatever happened cannot possibly have been their fault. Their justification for this self-blame is a stretch at best and delusion at worst, sometimes to the point of Insane Troll Logic. The supposed "guilty" person offers such bizarre, nonsensical, and off-the-wall reasoning as to why it's their fault that there's either a lot of drama and angst or a lot of derisive laughter to be had from it.
