Sonic Blast, released in Japan as G Sonic (Gソニック G Sonikku) is a platform video game from the Sonic the Hedgehog series developed by Aspect and published by Sega for the Sega Game Gear. It was released in late 1996, with a port to the Sega Master System developed by Tectoy and released exclusively in Brazil. It was the last Sonic game for the Game Gear. It is notorious for using pre-rendered visuals for its graphics unlike its predecessors, a trend popularized by Donkey Kong Country.
