Once the archenemy of the Skylanders, Kaos was forced to eat a pretty big slice of humble pie after his last scheme went so awry that it resulted in him losing his portal master powers to the Magic Eater, and has been in hiding while he attempts to locate it so he can get his magic back. Our heroes first run into him at the end of the story's first chapter where he tries (and fails) to get the Magic Eater to give him his magic back, and he accompanies them to Earth to help them fight it (only because he wants his powers back, though).
