Flameslinger was born with bright fires in his eyes that allowed him to see through any source of fire, but after this gift rendered him little more than a tourist attraction, he hid his eyes behind a blindfold and ran off into the woods to hone his skills as an archer. It was during his training that he received a vision of a drowning fire spirit and rescued them, and as a reward was gifted with a pair of magical boots that went so fast the ground would be left burning in his wake and an enchanted bow with a set of flaming arrows to match. In the original games, he has a medium-high range voice and a prominent French accent.
