King-Pen was originally part of a military unit of penguins who protected the Cloudmelt Glaciers, but after resorting to hiding away in a cave due to a terrible avalanche, he was found by a yeti who had mastered the ancient martial art of Flipper-Fu and taught it to King-Pen, who quickly became a skilled practitioner of the art—so skilled that it even led to Master Eon seeking him out and making him a Skylander! In the original games, he speaks with a medium range, cool hero-sounding voice.
