An NPC you meet during your travels throughout Skylands' past. In the present day, Mortalannis is renown for being one of the Underworld's greatest philosopher kings, but when you meet him, he's merely a simple philosopher who wishes to bring an end to the war between the undead and living, and with the help of others who share his sentiments, you included, plans to speak to the heads of each army and convince them of the war's fruitlessness.
