Dex is an average "butt-monkey" jock-type character who typically gets himself into troublesome situations in the anime. For example, a robotic dog getting stuck on his leg and Lan and Maylu laugh at it. He's not really a serious character, really, so you have to get a voice actor who can have a rough-sounding voice like he has, as well as sound like a total idiot. He's more important in the earlier seasons; I think his importance starts dropping off around Axess. My personal picks for his dub voice would be Bill Rogers or Xander Mobus.
