A skilled martial artist and computer engineer born in Hong Kong but raised in America, Reno Bryce worked for Halo Enterprises' Los Angeles branch, aiding in their computer sciences division. One night, Reno was walking home when he was attacked by a group of unknown men. He held his own as best he could, but when he was overwhelmed, he was helped by John Cole, head of security at Halo Enterprises as well as two others. Saved, Reno learned he was a Kherubim descendant, able to focus his will to become a living Warblade, making his body into a living weapon that was as sharp as his will allowed.
