Born in Cambodia to a Cambodian father and an American mother, Kevin Kho lost his parents and sisters at a young age, leading him to dive into academia to make a better life for himself. When he came to the United States, he would end up working for S.T.A.R. Labs, showing a brilliant mind, even with his OCD. But what Maxwell Lord saw was potential. After the failure of OMAC Prime against the JLI Max kidnapped Kevin and injected him with a new OMAC virus, transforming him. Helped by the JLI, Kevin now works with them to find a way to be able to control his new powers.
