Billy and Mary Batson's maternal uncle, he also worked at Billy's middle school, eventually learning his nephew's secret of being Captain Marvel, aiding the Marvel family in their adventures. Though just an ordinary man, Dudley is resourceful, helping Billy when he lived on his own as well as covering for him when Captain Marvel was needed, even having been given power similar to him before. Recently, Dudley has met a young girl named Darla, who he's learned is his daughter from a woman he met sometime after his divorce, and now she is one of the Marvel Family too.
