Character Description
Orphaned when his parents were killed on an archaeological dig and abandoned by his uncle to the streets, Billy Batson kept a strong and kind heart through this time. Fate would lead the wizard Shazam to send an emissary to guide Billy to the Rock of Eternity, where Shazam would pass on the wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury, transforming Billy into Captain Marvel, Earth's Mightiest Mortal, whenever he would shout "Shazam!".
