Darkrai is the Dark-type partner Pokemon of the Ferrum Champion, and is unlocked as a partner via completion of the game's side stories. It is the thirteenth alternate partner Pokemon you unlock, and is obtained after completing Murdoch's side quest where he seeks out the Pokemon so he can use its powers to conquer a recurring nightmare about his lover's death. Darkrai is a defensive fighter with a playstyle focused on trapping opponents and avoiding close combat.
