Shiftry is Greninja's adopted father, and lives in the Serene Village along with the rest of Greninja and Delphox's friends and family. He was previously manipulated by Dark Matter into aiding the destruction of the world, and at first took a young Greninja in as part of his ploys to keep her from stopping Dark Matter, but soon came to love her as a daughter and adopted her after his mind was freed. He's not one for excitement or adventure after all he went through back then, but when the Shattering occurs, it seems he has no choice but to step in.
