Although being a creature of Mesopotamian Mythology in the collective imagination, Manticore is indeed a child of Echidna and Typhon. Although partly resembling a lion, he has a very human face. He can fly, throw natural spikes from his large scorpion tail, which also contains a deadly poison that kills anyone in thirty seconds. A long time ago, he was entrusted with the protection of Pandora's Box, so he went into hibernation in the Paris Catacombs, where he could only wake up if the Box was in danger of being misused... and this seems to happen !
