A young priest at a shinto shrine. Originally aspired to become a samurai like his father, but decided to become a priest instead to succeed his grandfather's family traditions. He was a longtime friend of Kyō and both of them seem to be on good terms. A wise and thoughtful individual who spent most of his time focusing on improving his skills to become a swordsman. He is known to try and hide the fact that he likes sweets to look cool in front of his friends.

    More about the character: Tadayoshi was once a friend of Kyō. Although Tadayoshi is older, he often got picked on by Kyō most of the times due to being weak. A few years later, both of them reunites after a long time, but they don't recognize each other and so, they formed some sort of rivalry. Tadayoshi has changed a lotz in that he already learned the Kisaragi ryū kenjutsu and is now becoming a bodyguard for hire, whilst also doing his duties as a priest at a shinto shrine.

    Both of them didn't recognize each other and didn't realize until a later episode where Kyō reveals his name to Tadayoshi. Kiyomasa then calls Tadayoshi by name, but Kyō just laughed at them, saying that Tadayoshi is nothing like the Tadayoshi that he used to know back then. Although even after they already realized and remembered about them being friends in the past, they still had some sort of friendly rivalry with each other, even fighting each other due to petty things
