Character Description
Klaus works at a library, and there's no place he'd rather work. He loves reading, writing, and painting; and he hopes to be a published author someday. He's best friends with James, even though both boys are in love with each other and do everything but say the words aloud. Klaus truly does love James, but he knows they'll never have a chance to be together publicly. Before James goes on a trip across seas with his father, Klaus gifts him a locket with a painting of them in it.
