In early September 1994, Ron, upset about the accident that resulted in his best friend, Harry Potter, sharing a body with his archrival, Draco Malfoy, punches Draco in the mouth, not caring if he hurts Harry in the process. In so doing he knocks them backward and makes them rip open the stitches on their back.
