He is an Art Collector, an Industrialist, and the father of the painter Sarah Hawkins. He comes to Edward Pierce, looking for help. Sarah, her husband, and their child died in a fire, that Sarah is being blamed for. He brings a painting sent to him by Sarah shortly before her tragic death and a folder full of documents. He asks Edward to reopen the case and to prove his daughter's innocence.
