Barda grew up in Granny Goodness' orphanage alongside Scott. She had the opportunity to escape with him but didn't. She grew to be one of the fiercest warriors on Apokolips and one the elite Female Furies. She arrives on Earth ahead of the other Furies as part of their hunt for Orion. Barda and Scott are reunited and their relationship blossoms. She turns against her Furies and defends Scott and the Earth.
