After being knocked unconscious once the hijacked civilian airliner crashed into one of the buildings in Metropolis, due to Batman throwing hands with the Joker inside the cockpit, Bruce wakes up, once again strapped to a chair, with a gag in his mouth. However, this time, he sees Alfred is sitting right next to him, before he hears a voice in the shadows say: "That was quite a messy crash my children pulled you out of, Bruce Wayne." Before seeing a figure he knows all too well emerge from the darkness.
