At the end of the final installment of the Batman And Robin, we cut to Arkham Asylum, where Hugo Strange opens cell 1989, and stares at the prisoner in the room, who is dimly lit by the flickering light in his cell. Hugo asks: "Who are you, and why are you here?" Before the dimly lit man responds: "Sometimes when people don't get the jokes, the clown telling them dies. I am simply here to replace Arthur Fleck, good sir."
